Choeng Mon Beach Koh Samui

Choeng Mon beach is not so much a single strip of sand but a series of bays around the north western part of the island. The beaches are what you would expect from the beautiful island of Koh Samui - golden sands and turquoise waters. These bays also have the added interest of the rock formations around them.

These bays are definitely a lot quieter than some of the more well known beaches around the island - you will not find so many of the beach sellers stopping you every 10 minutes. You will however be able to find a wonderful beach massage sala and enjoy being spoiled as you listen to the sounds of the sea. Compared to some of the other beaches around the island, Choeng Mon definitely has a more family-friendly, older and slightly more up-market feel to it.

The resorts that surround the beaches are all geared for the European family market so if Thai food is not your style you will have no problem in finding something you like! If you do like Thai food then you will find that they go easy on the chili so the western palette can cope with it! The evenings have plenty of entertainment laid on by the resort restaurants and bars so you will have no shortage of choice.
