Pattaya Elephant Village
Bored with the beach, need a great day out? Then Pattaya Elephant Village is where you need to be, singles or families it’s a great day out!
Pattaya Elephant Village is a private sanctuary opened to save sick and injured Elephants, it is you the Tourist who funds this operation by means of visiting and taking part in one of three or all daily programmes opening daily at 10:00am with the last event at 16:30 hours.
Easy to arrange VIP transport from your Villa at Viewpoint village or go direct by car. Leaving Viewpoint Village at the Sukhumvit road exit turn left as you pass Central Pattaya Road (Pattaya Klang) take the next right up Siam Country Club Road you will pass some garden centres on your right then at the crossroads turn right – clearly sign posted, Elephant Village it is on your right. Journey Time 20 minutes.

Our journey begins at 10 am sharp don’t forget your camera with the feeding of the Elephants bananas at the ready at THB 100 per bunch they will delicately remove them from your hands and start their daily feast, however, do not feel responsible to fill them up as their consumption is between 200 and 300 kilograms per day.
10:30 dressed in you full safari khakis (No hunting rifles) you will mount these incredible beasts from the platform provided and head off at a controlled pace into the Jungle beyond. Don’t spook them Elephants can move at 25 to 40 kilometre’s per hour.

It is such an interesting and fun packed day I really don’t want to spoil your day of discovery so here in brief is what you will do.
- Jungle Trek
- Take a ride up river in the river.
- River rafting
- Play with the Gibbons
- View the waterfall
- Learn about the silk butterfly and watch it being prepared to make the silk and subsequently used.
- Ox-cart ride
- Muay-Thai boxing show
- Thai sword fighting
- Thai Dancing
- Demonstration of how to control an Elephant (Might come in handy?)

From the minute we arrived at Villa Maria we thoroughly relaxed and had a fabulous holiday. The live in villa staff, Dui and Na were not only fantastic cooks but were great at caring for our young baby. The villa is ideally set up for young families yet really luxurious with fantastic art throughout. We had a wonderful holiday and have recommended it to a number of friends and family.
